In almost 30 years of working for, buying from, managing, and consulting to FBO's I have seen the good the bad and the ugly. For the most part I have encountered the good kind with folks who have a genuine love of aviation. In an industry that is already competitive, COVID 19 is going to have some lasting effects. Most small and mid-market FBO's do not have an abundance of staff so people wear a lot of hats. Typically the Line Service Manager is directly responsible for operational safety. Now the safety mix will have to include a COVID 19 operational plan to protect customers and staff. My advice... grab a cup of coffee and start doing some research. There is no shortage of good ideas and guidance out there. The plan for your FBO does not have to be perfect out of the gate.
